The Pro’s and Con’s of Surgical Skin Tightening

by Ingela

Surgical skin tightening has long been accepted as a way to remove wrinkles and sagging skin. It can be a quick fix to unsightly problem areas, but at what cost?

With the advances in cosmetic surgery, surgical skin tightening has improved greatly in terms of procedure, risks involved, and the pain and discomfort felt but is it enough?

Surgical skin tightening is an expensive wrinkle remover option as it involves professionals to get it done correctly. Not to mention, on average, surgical procedures to tighten your skin start at roughly $2,000.  That’s a pretty big chunk of change.

How does surgical skin tightening work? Usually, tissue repositioning is the surgical technique used to tighten sagging skin.

Basically, the skin tightening surgery process is made up of three steps namely preparation, execution, and recovery. It can be a fairly lengthy and involved process.

The patient usually receives anesthesia during the skin tightening process to minimize pain. With any anesthesia, there is always risk.  That’s why there is a doctor in the room, specifically dedicated to that job alone.

Afterwards, the patient is taught measures to speed up recovery like how to clean the face and how to prevent infection.

As with any type of surgery, there are always risks involved and the price is quite high. In addition, the results are only temporary as the root cause of the problem is not targeted. Before resorting to surgical procedures, it is better to try non invasive procedures first.

There are natural skin creams available that are very effective in tightening up your skin.  They can be effective if they have the right ingredients as well as safer than any surgical procedure.

In fact, there are natural ingredients that target the problems like sagging skin, or puffiness around the eyes.  The key is they target the problem, rather than try to mask them, unlike surgery.

One example of a natural ingredient that targets those problems is Eyeliss.  What the doctors might not tell you is that puffiness or bags around your eyes is caused by fluid build up because of poor drainage, along with the loss of elasticity that happens with age.  Eyeliss improves the drainage and increases the skins firmness, naturally.

Another natural ingredient is grapeseed oil. It has natural stringent properties that help tone the skin. When used in conjunction with vitamin C, it helps with collagen production. It is also rich in antioxidants that make it valuable in fighting and repairing skin damage caused by free radicals. It is high in an essential fatty acid called linoleic acid that helps keep cell membranes healthy.

These two ingredients are just two of the many natural ingredients that are effective against skin wrinkling and sagging.  You really don’t have to spend money on surgical procedures just to get tighter skin. Natural ingredients are more effective, longer lasting, and much safer too.

I recommend you do your own research and find a good anti aging product line for your body. I personally use and love Xtend-Life. They are completely natural and work great on my skin.
