2. Stretching

A stretching routine is great for increasing blood circulation, improving skin elasticity, which in other words increases the skin’s ability to stretch without getting marks and scars. 3. Skin Brushing

Brushing your skin with a dry brush might not sound appealing, but it can help you prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. There are special brushes for this, and by regularly brushing your skin gently you improve the blood flow and exfoliate your skin. Again, not glamorous, but it works ;)

4. Moisturize

It’s important that you keep your skin deeply moisturized from the time your belly starts growing noticeably all the way through the post natal period. Especially effective in preventing stretch marks during pregnancy are antioxidant and vitamin rich oils or creams.

There are plenty of anti stretch mark creams especially for pregnant bellies. Some are great, while others are filled with harmful substances. Look for natural products that are free from synthetic chemicals, and filled with powerful and rejuvenating ingredients.

Although a skin care product made especially for stretch marks can work, sometimes there is a simpler solution. Some women swear by using cold pressed olive oil, shea butter, or coconut oil daily, and say it has kept stretch marks away.

Even if you do get some stretch marks when you’re pregnant, don’t worry. It is possible to reduce them with a natural home remedy or treatment and a healthy lifestyle. They definitely won’t stay pink or purple forever; many find them hardly noticeable after a while as they turn to skin colored lines.
